KK United seeks funding before NPFL debut

NKURENKURU – Newly promoted Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL) debutants, Kefas Kamanya United Football Club (KK United FC), have made a passionate plea to corporate Namibia and local businesses to help rescue the team from a brewing logistical and financial storm ahead of their maiden top-flight season.

The club urgently needs corporate sponsorship to meet the financial demands of the top flight and to cope with the logistical burden of playing all “home” games in Rundu, due to the lack of a sports stadium in Nkurenkuru.

The Nkurenkuru-based outfit recently made history by becoming the first-ever football club from the Kavango West region to secure a place in the country’s elite football league. However, the celebratory mood following their glittering awards ceremony on Saturday is quickly giving way to anxiety about the immense financial demands of top-tier football.
