Staff Reporter A TOTAL of 15,825 of the country’s 209,226 old-age grant recipients have had their payments suspended after their names could not be found in the National Population Registry System. “The social grant system follows a similar approach to that of any other social protection scheme, which requires the continuous verification of beneficiaries. Affected beneficiaries are encouraged to visit their nearest Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare regional or constituency office as soon as possible,” the Ministry of Finance explained.
