A campaign to raise funds for Cuba has secured N$700 000 in donations from Namibians, which will be used for critical medical supplies.
The Namibia National Solidarity Campaign in Support of Cuba was launched in April in response to the United States’ ongoing blockade of Cuba.
“The Republic of Cuba has been under illegitimate and debilitating commercial and financial blockade by the United States (US) under successive administrations,” campaign chairperson Helmut Angula said on Thursday.
