Staff Reporter THE 7th edition of the Nama Cultural Festival is set to take place at the Westdene Stadium in Keetmanshoop from 28 to 31 May 2026, bringing together communities, traditional leaders, cultural stakeholders and visitors from across the country in celebration of Nama heritage, identity and unity. Held under the theme, “Namakhoeda ge-ǀGuiǃnâxa sîsenǀgauga ǂnubis ǃhaoǃnâsib Aiǃgûs ǃaroma” (“Building Unified Systems for Cultural Continuity”), the annual event aims to preserve, promote and celebrate Nama culture and traditions while strengthening social cohesion and cultural identity. Organisers described the festival as an important platform for safeguarding indigenous traditions and encouraging intergenerational cultural exchange.

“All roads lead to the Westdene Stadium in Keetmanshoop for the 7th edition of the Nama Cultural Festival. The weekend promises unforgettable experiences centred around culture, heritage and unity,” organisers said. The festival has grown steadily since its inception and continues to attract thousands of attendees annually.
