The 13th Namibia Mining Expo and Conference opens today at the Windhoek Showgrounds, with industry leaders, mining companies and suppliers expected to gather to discuss the future of one of the country’s most important economic sectors.
Organised by the Chamber of Mines of Namibia, the three-day event will run until 6 August under the theme, ‘Mining for Namibia’s Future: Job Creation, Local Empowerment and Economic Transformation’.
This year’s sub-theme is ‘Driving Local Empowerment through Procurement and Economic Inclusion’.
