SWAKOPMUND – In a remarkable journey that exemplifies dedication and talent, 14-year-old Pinky Avonry Amamub from Khorixas has achieved what many young footballers only dream of; training at a Bayern Munich football camp in Munich, Germany.
Amamub, along with fellow Namibian player Caleb Sissing, participated in a prestigious 11-day training program organized by the charity initiative Dein Ball für Namibia (DBFN).

The program focuses on youth football development, education, and providing safe housing environments in Swakopmund.
Amamub’s love for football predates even his earliest memories. Growing up in Khorixas, he was often ill and spent months hospitalized, but whenever he was well enough, he would seize any opportunity to kick a ball.
Without proper footwear or formal training at the time, he started organizing matches with neighborhood boys, using plastic bags as makeshift balls.
