Okahandja hit by powerful hailstorm

Staff Reporter OKAHANDJA and surrounding areas in the Otjozondjupa Region were battered by heavy rainfall and an intense hailstorm on Thursday, blanketing significant parts of the town in hail. This rare occurrence was captured and shared on social media, with images and videos showing thick layers of hail covering surfaces from rooftops to the ground. The hailstorm was accompanied by heavy rainfall, which also left parts of the town flooded, transforming roads into rivers.
