WELCOME SHOWERS: Karibib was among the areas to receive light rain showers on Wednesday – welcome relief to the western town, which was also recently affected by wildfires. Karibib recorded about 10mm of rainfall between Wednesday and Thursday. Recent showers also affected several other areas, including parts of Windhoek, which received 3mm to 5mm of rain on Wednesday, as well as Brakwater (3mm), Farm Vaalgrass (8mm), Okahandja (1.5mm to 2mm) and Aroab (6mm to 9mm).
