Insufficient and unevenly distributed postal services in some constituencies have left pensioners facing challenges in accessing essential services.

As such, many elderly citizens, particularly those in rural constituencies, must endure longer travel distances to reach postal facilities.

The information is contained in the Namibia Statistics Agency’s (NSA) National Proximity Atlas on Pensioner Population to Postal Services report.

It highlights significant differences in access to postal facilities across regions and constituencies.

The report shows that while Namibia has 135 mapped postal offices, their location does not always correspond with the distribution of the pensioner population.
