Loide Namukwambi’s nine years of beadwork have evolved into a handbag business that has earned her a place among the top five winners of the SanlamAllianz Bridge programme.

Namukwambi started Loide Bead and Designs in May 2024, making handmade beaded handbags and purses.
The business makes beaded handbags and purses for weddings, special occasions, and everyday use. Customers can choose the colours, patterns and styles they want.
Namukwambi said the idea came after she noticed a gap in the market for unique and customised handbags.
“I have always had a passion for beadwork, and I realised that many people loved unique and fashionable handbags. There were very few options that offered quality and allowed customers to customise their bags,” she said.
