The Karibib Town Council is set to generate more than N$403 000 from the sale of 100 unserviced plots earmarked for development by Karibib Housing Development (Pty) Ltd. This is contained in a notice published in a local newspaper yesterday. “The Karibib Town Council intends to dispose of the unimproved erven by way of private treaty in terms of Section 63(2), read together with Section 30(f) of the Local Authorities Act 23 of 1992, as amended,” the notice states.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed sale has until 30 June to submit their objections to the council’s chief executive, Tangeni Enkono. The plots, located at Usab Extension 6, range in size from 300 to 1 500 square metres and are designated for single residential use. Prices range between N$3 000 and N$4 700 per plot.
