President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s state visit to China comes at a critical moment in Namibia’s development journey.
As the country seeks to accelerate economic transformation, industrialisation and job creation, the visit represents an opportunity to strengthen a partnership that has played an important role in Namibia’s development for more than three decades.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Namibia and China have built a Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership based on mutual respect, shared interests and development cooperation.
China has become one of Namibia’s key trading partners and an important investor in infrastructure, mining, energy, manufacturing, telecommunications and other sectors.
