THE Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, who has been taken to court by social activist Michael Amushelelo over the installation of speed bumps on the B1 freeway, has said that the relief sought is incomplete, as the concept of a highway from which he wishes speed bumps to be removed does not exist in law.
Amushelelo has brought an urgent application against the Works and Transport Minister, arguing that he wishes to protect public safety and uphold the rule of law, after the installation of vertical speed humps that were constructed directly across the lanes of the B1 Western Bypass close to the Northern Industrial Area.
