Standard Bank Namibia has become the first bank in the country to offer businesses direct access to China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS), making it easier to send and receive payments with Chinese companies.
The bank launched the service in Windhoek on Monday, saying it will help businesses make payments faster, reduce costs and simplify trade with one of Namibia’s biggest trading partners.
