The National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) is investing in the future of the country’s performing arts sector through its Stage Actors Training Lab.
The initiative is designed to equip aspiring and experienced actors with the practical skills needed to thrive on stage.
The programme, which began in May and concludes on 25 July 2026, runs every Saturday and is facilitated by a range of experienced theatre practitioners.

The training is structured to accommodate both beginners and advanced participants, ensuring actors at different stages of their journeys have access to meaningful development opportunities.
NTN spokesperson Desiree Mentor said the theatre introduced the training lab in response to growing demand for accessible acting education in Namibia.
“The theatre noticed that there are many people who want to pursue acting but don’t always have access to training opportunities. The lab exists to help develop stage-specific acting skills and build a stronger pool of trained theatre actors in Namibia,” she said.
