AFTER the opening rounds of the expanded FIFA World Cup, early leaders have begun to emerge across several groups following the completion of initial group-stage matches.

In Group A, hosts Mexico and South Korea both sit on three points, while Czechia and South Africa are yet to register a point.
Group B remains finely balanced, with Canada, Qatar, Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina all level on one point following their opening matches.
