The seventh Nkurenkuru Expo gala dinner raised N$600 500 on Saturday, boosting preparations for this year’s event, which will run from 24 July to 2 August under the theme ‘Empowering Economic Growth and Celebrating Heritage’. Speaking at the dinner, Nkurenkuru Town Council management committee chairperson Robert Katura, delivering remarks on behalf of former president and Nkurenkuru Expo patron Hifikepunye Pohamba, said the funds would help turn the expo into a practical platform for jobs and business opportunities, not just an annual social event. Pohamba said the theme was chosen to link economic activity with cultural identity.
