The Gobabis Municipality plans to sell 100 residential plots worth more than N$8.8 million to Mbatjiua Construction CC to help address the town’s housing backlog.
A municipal notice published this month shows that over 13.4 hectares of land in Extension 6 has been earmarked for the construction of residential houses.

The municipality is now seeking public objections and has given members of the public until 10 August to submit them.
The plots, measuring between 1 202 and 2 272 square metres, are priced at N$62 per square metre, with selling prices ranging from about N$88 000 to over N$104 000.
The notice states that the municipality intends to sell serviced and unserviced immovable property by private treaty to Mbatjiua Construction CC and the Namibia Training Authority (NTA).
