Iran says Hormuz Strait’s management arrangements must be made in consultations with Oman

TEHRAN, July 12– Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has said Iran insists that arrangements for the future administration of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz must be made through consultations with Oman, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

Baghaei made the remarks in an address to reporters while elaborating on a Saturday trip by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi to Oman’s capital Muscat, the ministry said in a statement.
