Okatumba Gate Agricultural Show this weekend

EISEB BLOCK – Vibrant excitement is expected at the Okatumba Gate this weekend as farmers from across the country are heading to the famous Okatumba Gate Agricultural Show starting today in Omaheke’s Otjombinde constituency.

The annual event, which is also a communal Information Day, incepted in 2012, has steadily grown into one of the most vital platforms for farmers, entrepreneurs and local communities in the Eiseb and Otjombinde areas.

Kamakotje Marenga, the chairperson of the Okatumba Gate Agricultural Show, shared with New Era that the show, which began as a modest initiative, has now become a cornerstone event where young farmers find their footing in the market, gaining exposure and confidence in agricultural marketing.

“Basically, our prime objective for the show is to empower young farmers by providing them with a platform to showcase livestock and agricultural produce.
