The Ministry of Urban and Rural Development says weak alignment between Vision 2030, NDP6 and policies governing urban and rural development is preventing effectively delivering land, housing and basic services across Namibia.

This concern emerged during the National Council’s three-day stakeholder engagement with government offices, ministries and agencies in Windhoek.

The engagement is aimed at strengthening the oversight capacity of councillors and improving accountability in public institutions.

During the presentation, the ministry presented its 2025/26-2029/30 Strategic Plan under the theme ‘Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight, Executive Accountability and Strategic Alignment for National Development’.
