UPDATE: Eight of the initial nine minor boys who are accused of gang-raping a 25-year-old woman in the small town of Okahandja were remanded in custody and sent back to juvenile cells after appearing in the Okahandja Magistrate’s Court. Details of the case cannot be reported on due to the proceedings being held in camera as the accused are minors. The matter was postponed to 25 June 2026 for a formal bail application.
