Women’s cricket in Namibia received another significant boost yesterday after Capricorn Group announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with Cricket Namibia (CN), extending a relationship that has become instrumental in the growth and success of the women’s game.

The renewed agreement, which runs from 1 June 2026 until 31 May 2028, will see Capricorn Group invest N$1.2 million over the next two years to support the continued development of women’s and girls’ cricket.

The partnership ensures that the national women’s team will continue to compete under the well-known Capricorn Eagles brand while also supporting the national Under-19 women’s side, girls’ cricket festivals and the girls’ schools league.

In addition to the financial commitment, Capricorn Group will provide branded promotional items for both the senior women’s national team and the Under-19 squad, helping to strengthen the visibility of women’s cricket and deepen support among fans and communities.
