President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah does not want to hear five-year strategic plans and other jargon that is commonplace among Namibia’s State-owned enterprises.
She said she wants results.
If necessary, she is prepared to intervene personally where bureaucracy is stifling national development.

“I said I am going to be a disruptive President. I will disrupt if it is for the sake of the Namibian people,” she said.
Nandi-Ndaitwah reminded executives that public enterprises were established to reduce pressure on the national budget by operating on sound business principles and becoming engines of economic development.
This was clear yesterday when she gave parastatal bosses 24 months to prove their worth.
She was speaking at the inaugural strategic dialogue with public enterprise CEOs and board chairpersons at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (Nipam) yesterday.
