The National Assembly yesterday tabled one of its most wide-ranging Order Papers in recent sessions, featuring debates that stretched from electoral appointments and anti-corruption leadership to land reform, national security, economic restructuring, and constitutional questions.
Electoral Commission and Anti-Corruption leadership

The House began with the resumption of debate on the nomination of Gerson Sindano as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), alongside Emmerentia Leonard and Juelieta Diva Ferreira as members.
The matter was presented as central to strengthening electoral credibility ahead of future national processes.
Closely linked was a motion on the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), including the nomination of Brian Eiseb as Director General and a one-year extension for Advocate Erna van der Merwe as Deputy Director General.
The Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare argued that continuity was essential for ongoing institutional reforms, particularly in procurement oversight and corruption investigations.
