DRIMIOPSIS – Uauanisa Kamberipa, the chairperson of the newly promoted Omaheke second division outfit Kalahari Lions Sport Club (SC) said the team’s journey in the third division was chaotic despite being crowned champions.
The Drimiopsis-based team in Omaheke’s Kalahari constituency started its league campaign with a sluggish opening, drawing five out of seven matches, and suffered a painful Namibian Football Association (NFA) Cup first round exit on penalties to Ophouuende FC after squandering a 3-0 first half lead.
However, the club formed in August 2024, made history without tasting a defeat from 22 games played, winning 17, and managed five draws in the just ended campaign.
