Starting a business requires more than just a good idea. For many entrepreneurs, access to funding, equipment and guidance can determine whether a small business grows or remains limited.
Lunde Trading CC, a tailoring and embroidery business based in Kuisebmund, Walvis Bay, received support from the Sanlam Bridge programme has helped the company improve its operations and increase its production capacity.
The business was established in 2016 by Ottilie Matheus, a qualified artisan tailor trained at the Namibia Institute of Mining and Technology (NIMT).
After completing her studies, Matheus struggled to find formal employment and decided to use her tailoring skills to create her own business.
“I faced challenges securing formal employment, and I decided to use my skills to start my own tailoring business,” Matheus said.
