Staff Reporter PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called for continuous skills development and a shift towards a knowledge-based workforce to boost productivity and economic growth, as she addressed the 2026 Workers’ Day commemoration in Opuwo. Speaking at the event held at Newman Katuta Stadium, the President thanked the National Union of Namibian Workers for the invitation to mark International Workers’ Day in the Kunene Region. She emphasised that Workers’ Day is not only about commemoration, but about reaffirming the principles of workers’ rights and dignity.
