The United States has renewed its commitment to supporting investment in Namibia’s mining and energy sectors, saying the country is becoming an important global supplier of critical minerals and future oil production.

The commitment was made on Monday during a Mining, Energy and Investment Leaders Reception hosted by the United States Ambassador to Namibia, John Giordano, at the US Embassy in Windhoek.
The event brought together senior government officials, executives from Namibian and American mining and energy companies, banks, institutional investors, pension funds and business advisers ahead of this week’s 13th Namibia Mining Expo and Conference.
