The police have alleged that murder accused Abner Mateus made several attempts to make a fraud case docket against him disappear, including recruiting police officers to steal court documents.
Lead investigator detective chief inspector Antonius Gabriel made these allegations while testifying in the bail application of Mateus’ nephew and co-accused, Petrus Shikwaya, on Thursday.
According to Gabriel, Mateus had a motive to interfere with the administration of justice because he was facing fraud charges stemming from a 2022 case.
