THE Namibia Cyber Security Incident Response Team (NAM-CSIRT), housed under the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN), has released its Cybersecurity Constituent Newsletter for the first quarter of 2026, highlighting encouraging improvements in Namibia’s cybersecurity landscape while cautioning organisations to remain vigilant against emerging cyber threats.

Mufaro Nesongano, Executive: Communication and Consumer Relations, emphasised that detected cyber vulnerabilities across Namibia declined by 31.3%, while reported cyber threat events decreased by 47.3% during the period January to March 2026.
