President Nandi-Ndaitwah congratulates Raúl Castro on 95th birthday

Staff Reporter PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to former Cuban president Raúl Castro on the occasion of his 95th birthday, while reaffirming the longstanding ties of friendship and solidarity between Namibia and Cuba. In her congratulatory message, Nandi-Ndaitwah paid tribute to Castro’s lifelong contribution to the Cuban people, the Cuban Revolution, and the promotion of the ideals of freedom, justice, solidarity and self-determination. The President also acknowledged Cuba’s historic support for Namibia’s liberation struggle, describing the relationship between the two countries as one built on enduring bonds of friendship and mutual solidarity.
