Motorists and transport operators will pay more for selected road user charges from 1 August after the Roads Authority (RA) announced revised tariffs for the 2026/27 financial year.

Vehicle licence fees will increase by 10%, while abnormal load fees and road carrier permit charges will rise by 20%. According to the RA, the revised tariffs have been approved for implementation during the 2026/27 financial year and will take effect on 1 August.
