THE Prime Minister, Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, has directed the suspension of the revised categorisation and reclassification of duty stations for the Remoteness and Hardship Allowance with effect from 1 July 2026, pending further consultation and review.
“During the period of suspension, the categorisation of duty stations and the corresponding Remoteness and Hardship Allowance levels applicable on 31 March 2026 shall continue to apply until further notice,” Rhingo Mutambo, the Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Public Relations Officer, said.
