THE Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) says one of its historic resorts, Duwisib Castle, will remain closed until several operations, maintenance and infrastructure requirements are completed.
The resort has remained closed to visitors since 2022 due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic at the time and ongoing maintenance challenges.
The announcement comes amid allegations from insiders that the state-owned tourism company plans to privatise some of NWR’s resorts including part of this national heritage site – claims company has dismissed.
