Young Namibian fashion designer Filemon Hamukoto is using creativity, sustainability and storytelling to make his mark in the country’s growing fashion industry through his streetwear brand, Gemini Drip.
Hamukoto, a Windhoek-based sustainable streetwear designer, entrepreneur and founder of Gemini Drip, recently completed his Diploma in Fashion Design at the College of the Arts (COTA), a milestone he views as part of his journey towards building a recognised Namibian fashion brand.

For Hamukoto, fashion is not only about creating clothing but about communicating identity, culture and personal expression.
“Fashion is more than clothing to me. It is a way of telling stories, expressing identity and giving people the confidence to be themselves,” he said.
