Namibia Critical Metals advances Lofdal rare earth project with N$129.14 million DFS funding

NAMIBIA Critical Metals Inc. (NCMI) has approved the next phase of its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for the Lofdal Heavy Rare Earth Project, with approximately C$11 million (about N$129.14 million) in additional funding aimed at advancing metallurgical testing and developing higher-value rare earth processing capabilities in Namibia.

The company said the funding approval by the Joint Management Committee (JMC), which oversees the Lofdal project, marks the start of a major metallurgical execution phase that will support the completion of the expanded DFS for the Lofdal 2B-4 project.

As part of the next phase, NCMI has awarded its first major metallurgical and geometallurgical contracts to SGS Canada Inc., a global provider of metallurgical testing and process development services.
