ONGWEDIVA- The Okashana Rural Development Centre is providing free, demand-driven training and technical support to communities across all 11 constituencies of the Oshikoto region to strengthen livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
The multi-purpose centre, operating under the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development, is situated about 13 kilometres outside Omuthiya and focuses on capacitating community members with practical skills, agricultural technologies and knowledge that can support income-generating activities.
Senior Community Liaison Officer Tangi Mwandingi said that the centre provides training in poultry farming, horticulture, piggery and value addition, based on the needs identified within communities.
