Bank Windhoek Managing Director James Chapman said small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that embrace digital technology will be better positioned to grow, improve efficiency and compete in an increasingly digital economy.
Chapman said SMEs remain the backbone of Namibia’s economy and play a critical role in creating jobs and driving economic activity. However, he noted that many businesses still face challenges such as limited access to finance, changing customer expectations and the need to keep up with technological developments.

He said the future of commerce is becoming increasingly digital, making it important for businesses to invest in technology that improves customer experience and streamlines operations.
“The future of banking will be defined by customer experience. The future of commerce will be digital,” Chapman said.
