BUKALO – Chief Munitenga Gilbert Muhongo Mutwa, Moraliswani III of the Masubia Traditional Authority, has expressed concern about the slow implementation of key development projects in the Zambezi region, noting that delays in road construction, sports infrastructure and healthcare continue to adversely affect communities.
He addressed his subjects and invited guests at the annual Masubia Cultural Festival in Bukalo on Saturday, with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the keynote speaker. Moraliswani III said that although he would not dwell on developments in his jurisdiction since his coronation, he could not ignore the pace at which public infrastructure projects were progressing.
“I respect the State of the Region Address as presented by our governor because it highlighted the developmental challenges our region faces, including the slow completion rate of capital projects and the flood challenges we faced in 2026,” he said.
