BEIJING – Namibian youth could gain specialised training in China and new opportunities in agro-processing and manufacturing.
This is after about nine cooperation agreements covering key economic sectors were inked during President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s State visit to China.

The agreements cover human resource development, health, pharmaceuticals and energy, while Namibian delegates also pushed for Chinese technology to help process agricultural products and minerals locally.
This summation could be drawn from Swapo Party Youth League (SPYL) secretary and parliamentarian Efraim Nekongo, who formed part of the delegation.
“We have seen how the Chinese are really working hard, first in terms of technological advancement and then technological advancement in terms of elevating themselves from poverty,” Nekongo said.
