Safari trip ends in tragedy near Sesriem

Staff Reporter A 46-YEAR-OLD Brazilian tourist died and several other foreign nationals sustained injuries after a safari vehicle overturned on the C14 gravel road between Sesriem and Walvis Bay on Friday, police have confirmed. According to the weekend crime report, the accident occurred at approximately 11:58 on Friday, 29 May 2026, about 110 kilometres from Walvis Bay. Police said a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to a touring company was transporting six foreign-national passengers when the vehicle overturned.
