The exact number of workers affected, as well as the total amount owed to them, could not be established at the time of going to press.

The workers’ concerns come almost a year after reports emerged of a deepening financial crisis at the fuel supply company, which was previously reported to owe its employees millions of dollars in unpaid salaries.

However, the company is now under liquidation, according to lawyer Sisa Namandja, who represents Enercon directors Peter and Malakia Elindi.
