Mining companies operating along Namibia’s busy C28 corridor have joined forces with government agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to bolster road safety efforts on the route connecting Swakopmund and Windhoek.
The initiative, unveiled during the recent Chamber of Mines Safety Conference in Windhoek, aims to reduce accidents and promote shared responsibility for safer transportation along this vital corridor.
Under the banner of the C28 Road Safety Campaign, participating entities which includes Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia, Deep Yellow Namibia, Langer Heinrich Uranium, Swakop Uranium, Elspe, the Roads Authority, E-Med Rescue 24, SpillTech, and the Namib-Naukluft National Park, all signed a voluntary road safety charter affirming their commitment to safer roads.
