A delegation of Finnish mining companies will visit Namibia next month to strengthen business ties, promote responsible mining, and explore new investment opportunities in the country’s mining sector. The business visit, organised by the Embassy of Finland in Namibia and Mining Finland, will run from 2 to 6 August alongside the Namibia Mining Expo 2026.
The delegation will bring together six Finnish companies that provide mining technology, machinery and services to improve safety, productivity and the responsible use of natural resources. Speaking ahead of the visit, Finnish Coordinator Alma Pyymaki said the delegation reflects Finland’s commitment to strengthening private-sector partnerships with Namibia.

“The purpose of this visit is to strengthen cooperation between Finnish and Namibian companies, promote the exchange of knowledge and create business opportunities that benefit both countries,” she said.
She said responsible and safe mining remains a priority for Finland, adding that Finnish companies have developed technologies to improve efficiency while reducing the environmental impact of mining.
