THE Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has launched its first Basic Aviation Security Training Course following its certification as an Aviation Security Training Organisation (ASTO), strengthening Namibia’s capacity to deliver internationally recognised aviation security training locally.

The training programme, which started on 29 June and runs until 14 July 2026 in Windhoek, brings together 50 participants, including 29 officers from the Namibian Police Force’s Border and Infrastructure Protection Directorate and 21 NAC employees.
