Hambyuka maps out Kavango East’s economic resurgence

RUNDU – Kavango East regional governor Hamunyera Hambyuka delivered a historic State of the Region Address (Sora) on Friday.

He presented a comprehensive account of a highly successful financial year and establishing a firm development blueprint for the region.

Addressing the Regional Council auditorium, Hambyuka balanced high praise for budgetary performance with candid remarks about the serious structural issues confronting local communities.

The governor revealed that the central government deployed over N$380 million across the 2025/2026 financial year to crucial local infrastructure, health and education.

Speaking in an exceptionally positive tone, he noted that most local directorates demonstrated their administrative mettle by recording stellar implementation metrics.
