ONGWEDIVA- Ongwediva Town Council has completed two capital projects valued at a combined N$7.9 million, including the installation of 107 streetlights at Extension 12 as part of a N$4.9 million electrical reticulation project.
The projects, officially inaugurated by Ongwediva Mayor Naemi Amuthenu on Thursday, comprise the provision of electrical reticulation networks at Extension 12 Phase 1 and the upgrading of the sewerage raising main from Pump Station No. 3 to the oxidation ponds, valued at approximately N$3 million.

Amuthenu said that the completion of the projects marked an important milestone for Ongwediva, as capital investments translate public resources into tangible infrastructure and services that directly benefit residents.
“Capital projects are at the heart of our mandate as a Local Authority because they translate our plans and public resources into tangible services and infrastructure that directly benefit our communities,” she said.
