Namibia’s outdoor hockey team went down 4-0 to South Africa in their opening test series encounter played yesterday morning in Cape Town, but head coach Trevor Cormack believes the performance provided encouraging signs ahead of future international assignments.
The test series, which runs from 20 to 24 July, is serving as a valuable preparation platform for Namibia as they continue building towards the Africa Games.
Despite the defeat, Cormack was pleased with how his young squad responded to a highly experienced South African side preparing for the upcoming World Cup.
