Keetmans holds an open market day

KEETMANSHOOP – The Keetmanshoop municipality recently hosted an open market day to help residents earn much-needed income.

Member of the organising committee, Charles Josob, said they used to have the event monthly, but due to low turnouts, they decided to put it on trial for the first time this year to establish the interest of vendors. “This intervention is purely aimed at helping our small-and-medium enterprises to come and sell/showcase their products to earn a profit and extend their businesses,” he explained. Josob added that it also forms part of the council’s awareness campaign to attract more vendors to make optimal use of the industrial stalls close to the B1 bridge at their doorsteps.
